As an accomplished corporate and institutional banking professional, with over 20years experience in the industry, Amaki has a wealth of experience which cuts across Corporate and Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Public Sector and Development Organizations.

Amaki’s work experience spans Sub-Saharan Africa’s anglophone and francophone markets and the UK. She has held strategic roles at C-Suite executive management level, such as Executive Director and Country Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Cote D’Ivoire with oversight responsibility for non-presence markets (Benin, Senegal, Togo, Burkina Faso, Liberia). She was also Executive Director and Head of Public Sector and Development Organizations, SCB Cote D’Ivoire and Executive Director and Head of Commodity Trading and Agri-business with Standard Chartered Bank Ghana.

As Executive Director she was responsible for implementing the Corporate and Institutional Banking strategy aimed at delivering on financial performance, maximising shareholder value and identifying and creating areas of competitive advantage aligned to the overall strategic direction of the business.

Her strategic leadership has been pivotal in steering high-value portfolios, fostering strategic growth and driving financial performance through astute deal negotiation and strong collaboration to solidify the bank’s position in a competitive banking sector. Her tenure as Executive Director was marked by a steadfast commitment to business management excellence and analytical prowess. She has a broad range of expertise across strategic leadership, corporate governance and business advisory and risk management.

Her corporate finance and capital markets experience covers origination, structuring and execution of various transactions across project export finance, structured trade finance and bespoke structured solutions for asset financing, risk and liquidity management. This includes euro-bond issuances, bridge to bond financing and bilateral financing, to support infrastructure projects under Balance of Payment (BOP) financing for Sovereign and DFIs. This cuts across various sectors – energy, telecoms, power, commodities, manufacturing.

Amaki has sat on multiple corporate governance and risk committees, providing expert guidance on governance and operational risk frameworks.

She is an award-winning senior executive and recipient of Outstanding Performance in Strategy Simulation from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Executive MBA Cohort 2015.

She holds an Executive MBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), a MSc in International Banking and Finance from the University of Greenwich (UK) and BA in Economics from London South Bank University (UK).
